Trust and Obey

Hello everyone! It’s been a while since I wrote a blog, again. Sorry for the delay in blogs.

2019 has been a very busy year so far and it doesn’t seem that it will let up. I am sure that many of you experience the same with your year! How do we deal with it, what do we do first, how do we prioritize our time? If we don’t do these things, we find that our time gets away from us quickly!

The first thing I try to do, I don’t allow others to fill my schedule. You find that there are always people who will give you things to do that take you off task. It may be important to them, but it is not at the top of your list. Make God a priority in your life, plan time to spend with God daily, allow no one to interfere with that! Guard that time! (Psalm 27:4; 69:32; 70:4; 105:3-4; Proverbs 8:17). Many want to hear from God, but few spend the time seeking Him in prayer. Praying to God, then listen to Him! When God sends the answer, do it! Why would you wait if you have your answer?

Always trust that God knows best! Follow His Word to the letter! Never think you have a better way than God has! You do not. The hymn that has been sung for years, “Trust and Obey, for there is no other way, but to Trust and Obey.” These two words go hand in hand. If you trust and do not obey, what have you accomplished? Nothing! It is only when we put feet to our prayers that the blessings of God come down.

So, the order, pray, wait on Gods answer, then take action, put feet to His answer! If you got the answer, it was not for you to sit on your backside, it’s for you to act!

Again, only allow God to fill your schedule. Failure to plan on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part. Live like Jesus could come back today and work like it will be a long time until He comes. In other words, get busy for Jesus, fulfill your purpose in this life. One day hear, “well done good and faithful servant, enter into the joy of your Lord.” – Matthew 25:23.

More next time…

Great message. People trust but often don’t obey because the answer is not the one THEY wanted. Great message
