Unbiblical Sexual Desires

Well hello, another tough topic for this blog. The topic is homosexuality in a biblical perspective. We have in the United States today the very politically correct culture, one that is counterproductive to a biblical point of view. The world tells us that we should accept each and every person as they perceive themselves. The Bible says that we should accept what is biblically correct and reject what is not. The lifestyle of a homosexual, be it male or female, is not compatible with Scripture. Many mainline denominations have come to accept, support, and encourage this unbiblical lifestyle.


The Bible tells us in the Old Testament, the book of Leviticus chapter 18 in verse 22, “You shall not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination”. It goes on in Leviticus chapter 20 in verse 13 to say; ”If a man also lie with mankind, as he lies with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them”. Just to be clear I am not espousing that we kill homosexuals, on the contrary I’m saying that we need to reach them with the gospel of Jesus Christ. That they need to repent of their ungodly actions and live a heterosexual lifestyle. There is absolutely no way that a so-called born-again Christian can continue in a homosexual lifestyle. Because should they choose to do that they have shown in themselves that they have never come to know Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. The Old Testament goes on in First Kings chapter 14 in verse 24; “And there were also sodomites in the land: and they did according to all the abominations of the nations which the Lord cast out before the children of Israel”. Then in chapter 15 in verse 12; “And he took away the sodomites out of the land, and removed all the idols that his fathers had made”. Here it’s telling us that “King Asa of Judah removed these things because they were displeasing to God”. In Second Kings chapter 23 and verse 7 the Bible says; “And he break down the houses of the sodomites, that were by the house of the Lord, where the women wove hangings for the grove”. Just in case you’re not aware, when the word sodomite is used in the King James Bible it’s talking about homosexuals.


Now some would say that it was just in the Old Testament teaching as far as the homosexual lifestyle being wrong goes. So, we are going to move to the New Testament and see what it has to say, First Corinthians chapter 6 verses nine and 10; “Know you not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revelers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God”. Again, the word of God list homosexuality among the sins that are very wrong. All sin is wrong before God’s eyes, but some God chooses to point out. My last Scriptures on this topic are in Romans chapter 1 verses 21 through 32. I want to focus on three verses in particular, verses 26 through 28; ”For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: and likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompense of their error which was meet. And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;” Now it is very plain in the Scriptures that God does not support, condone, or encourage the homosexual lifestyle. It is very certain that God did not create anyone as a homosexual. The lust of the human nature creates that, people want to blame God in order to somehow justify their lifestyle. The homosexual lifestyle is still an abomination to God and any so-called church or denomination that preaches or teaches that the homosexual lifestyle is to be accepted as the norm is not an entity of God’s! They have become reprobate in and of themselves and misuse the word of God to try to approve a very wicked sinful lifestyle.



Should you have a problem with any of the Scriptures or the intent of this blog you have a problem with God’s word. I never seek to change God’s word, I never seek to please man, the word of God will stand for itself. If you are living in this type of the wicked lifestyle you need to repent and turn to God and turn from your wicked sin and accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. Avoid at all costs blaming God for your sinful lifestyle. All Scriptures in this article are taken from the King James Bible.

    Pastor, I understand the truth here. But I have a real problem with “Christians” who love to point out the sin of some groups and avoid the son of their own.
    In the US. What percent of the straight brides and grooms approach their wedding days as virgins? Does the “Christian” church regularly condemn straight fornicators? what about the straights that think use almost every other orifice for sex?
    Does Jesus, Himself, ever call out homosexuality? He certainly called out hypocrites.

    Well, what a crazy crazy opinion, it’s typical, if they can do it, I can do it.
    Some people at least try to change their ways rather than trying to justify their sins by pointing out the sins of others.
